“Truly a family atmosphere with great humble members. Amazing coaches that are so knowledgeable and really care about their athletes. Been here at Cantina for about 8 months and my wife and I love it!’

“Joining Cantina CrossFit changed my life forever. I am in the best shape I have ever been in. I learned how to lift and met a great group of instructors. Cantina helped me realize that I am capable of so much more than I ever thought I was. It changes my threshold in and out of the gym consistently. I am a single mom and they welcomed my son and I into their gym immediately. He is just as excited as I am to go every week. I am fortunate to have this gym and be part of it’s success. CrossFit is for everyone and this is the place to begin your journey! I hope to begin a new journey and turn my CrossFit passion into something more in my life. Thank you to the Cantina CrossFit staff for welcoming Gavin and me into your gym each week.”

“Cantina CrossFit is the best thing to happen to this almost 70-year-old body! I joined Cantina several years ago, at the invitation of my daughter, grandson, and my wife. We had a pretty large family group going there. I have become stronger than I ever thought possible at my age, with concurrent increases in endurance. What I love about CrossFit in general and Cantina in particular, is that the coaching staff helps me to scale each workout (we call them “WODs”) based on my current capabilities. Yes, my biological family brought me to Cantina, but the Cantina family keeps me coming back!
Case in point: I consulted with a professional, competitive weight lifting friend about what I should aim for as a deadlift max at my age. She indicated that 250 pounds is considered pretty darn good. I set that as my goal and in less than a year, I deadlifted 265! But in true Cantina fashion, Coach Annie had me work up to that number with multiple reps of ever-increasing weight. My next goal is 300 pounds, multiple reps, before my 70th birthday.
If you are young or old, you should definitely check out CrossFit, specifically the good folks at CANTINA. You’ll be glad you did, I promise!”

“Cantina has been an amazing and truly life changing experience for me. After 20 years of off and on physical activity, I needed a change to my health habits. I wasn’t sure where to start. A gym membership? You Tube videos? A home gym? None of those options seemed very exciting nor did I believe, given the lethargic physical culture I had created in my life, would prove to be successful. After meeting one of the owners of Cantina CrossFit – John, with apprehension (and no CrossFit experience at all) I inquired as to what CrossFit and specifically Cantina CrossFit was all about. That was the scariest part. I wasn’t sure the CrossFit world was one where I belonged. It was also one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. The result was an already established Cantina family that welcomed me in with enthusiasm and without any pre-judgement whatsoever. The culture that has been created over the years by the owners and coaches provide athletes of any level to feel comfortable at whatever physical strengths or weaknesses they may possess. The family’s enthusiasm and positivity have helped me lose over 55 pounds and feel better than I have in 20 years. At Cantina, the hard work pays off! In addition, the personalities and genuine nature of the athletes, coaches and owners help motivate you not only physically, but also towards outside, life goals that you may have neglected over the years. I now feel like I can accomplish so much more than I did before. Although I have worked hard, I owe that confidence to the unwavering support to the Cantina family. It has been a life changing experience – physically, mentally and emotionally. I encourage everyone and anyone who wants to experience a positive change in the culture of their lives to come experience Cantina in person. A truly amazing place!”

“My Cantina CrossFit experience started with me being very nervous and unsure of what to expect. I’d been told CrossFit is a clique just for people who like to throw heavy things and that I was bound to get injured.
I’ve found it to be the exact opposite of that. Every athlete I’ve met has been so welcoming and supportive. The coaches want you to work hard and safely and have spent countless hours working with me to make sure I understand how to execute a move. And for myself I’ve found that I’m stronger than I thought and can push myself to the brink and back. So grateful to have met such an amazing group of people.
